Executions Up in Saudi Arabia

Saudi authorities have already carried out 100 executions since the beginning of 2015, according to Human Rights Watch. Adam Coogle, a researcher at Human Rights Watch, said they are especially concerned because at least 41 out of the 100 executions were for non-violent drug offenses. “We oppose capital punishment,” Coogle told The Media Line. “But we are especially concerned by executions for non-violent crimes.”
